My father owns a bugatti veyron and it is a peice of history. The power that it creates it astonishing, and my father loves it so much he went to australia to take it for a ride on one of the very few roads that you can go full speed on a straight road. and the ride confort is amazing, it isn't cheap leather either, everything about the bugatti veyron is beautiful.

Between Sydney and Perth there are straight roads which have no speed restrictions so it is definately possible that Alec's father may have possibly brought it out here to the Unrestricted Roads. But to be honest i wouldn't ship out my car to other countries to drive it so i reckon he wasted his time.

Nonetheless this car is a beast. They had it on the TV Show "Top Gear" and ill have you know that the top speed is 407km/h (253mph). They ran a speed test on a Volkswagon 5.3 mile straight or something, after taking the corner beforehand at 200km/h (120mph) it took him almost the whole straight to peak 407km/h and it had only JUST ticked over to 407.4km/h or something.

However I do still favor the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder Convertible for looks and Manufacturer

can we all forget about the Veyron as surely the car to have is the Koenigsegg CCXR which will produce well over 1000bhp, not 'hp' but bhp and looks for better. it also produces over 1000 N/m of torque. it is also just 1180kg (862bhp/ton)compared to the 1880kg of the veyron (556bhp/ton). but both of these are put in the shade by the TVR speed 12 which could produce over 880bhp/ton.The Ariel atom (which i might add i own one) produced in england even produces more power per ton than a veyron 657bhp/ton). But personally i think i will wight for the Bristol fighter T to come out later this year which will also have over 1000bhp.

I just recently saw the article and pictures of the Veyron in an old Popular Science magazine. I'm not a car expert but I Do know what I like and this is one absolutely Gorgeous car. It is sleek, different and absolutely classy! Talk of talking a Veyron to the nullabor plain (between perth and the east coast) and getting a veyron to max speed is completed crap.

Firstly, There are speed limits, and more importantly, the roads are patrolled by Police in exceptional high powered performance cars, designed exactly for the purposes of catching morons that think there arent speed limits.

Secondly, Australia is a left hand drive country. THat means you A) cant buy veyrons here, and b) as such, they arent approved for use on Australia roads, therefore would struggle to get out of Customs.

But ignoring all that logic, if dad has a Veyron, why wouldnt he just hire a race track to get it to full speed, rather than import it around the world to a country where its illegal to drive?

Wow. The bugatti I admit is a nice piece of advancement but A total waste. Its a piece of shit compared to alot of cars due to the amount of fuel it consumes. it tops out at 253 mph? at the cost of massive amounts of fuel, If they can come up with a new compression technique to give more power then I might be impressed but until then I will stick with my rebuilt 69 stang, I dont need to be able to do more than 150 mph anyways.

Remember, it is not only how fast you go but how fast you get there.
